Alfredo Rodriguez, also known as Freddy by his friends and family, has played music since he was 12 years old.  He is from Alamo, Texas. He grew up listening to the cumbia beats of Norteno/Regional Mexican/Tejano music, which is very common in South Texas.  Freddy plays several instruments and also sings.  His latest talent developing within him is playing percussion.

Although considered a beginner percussionist, Freddy has already played and toured all over the United States and Mexico with Grupo Solido, a multi-nominated and one time Grammy Award winning band that plays Norteno/Regional Mexican/Tejano music.  He looks forward to what the world of percussion has in store.  He currently plays independantly with local bands that play Christian/Latin/Pop Rock and Norteno/Regional Mexican/Tejano music.

Freddy chooses to use Tycoon Percussion Master Handcrafted Pinstripe Series Congas and matching Bongos for his playing and touring.
